Migrate to the IPS Identity Provisioning Bundle Tenant

Now a days the migration of the IPS (Identity Provisioning) to the IAS it’s virtually mandatory.

If you access to your IPS platform you will see a message like this.

Migration of your tenant to SAP Cloud Identity infrastructure is strongly encouraged. It brings significant advantages, such as new features and improved integration between SAP Cloud Identity Services.
For more information, see the official documentation and the blog post.
SAP Business Technology Platform, Neo environment will be sunset on December 31, 2028. For more information, see SAP Note 3351844.

How Do I know If I’m using the old IAS admin tool?

Just the fact that you are able to access to your IPS cockpit/ platform, means you have to do the migration.

Other way, is to verify your current menu in the IAS admin panel. ou will see a Menu of 3 items like the below:

Migration Wizard

A wizard guides you through the migration process.

First, you choose the target IAS tenant to which you want to migrate your Identity Provisioning tenant.

Then, you select the provisioning systems – source, target and proxy, regardless of their status (enabled or disabled).

The process moves the system configurations, such as properties, destinations, credentials and transformations, to the tenant in the new infrastructure. Provisioning job logs are not migrated. They are retained in your Neo tenant according to the period of time (7, 14 or 30 days) you have configured. The migration job log is retained for 30 days.
