How to check the OCN available

Every time UDEMY/LINKEDIN LEARNING/ETC creates new content, this updates the list of Open Content Network.

This list can be checked at Content > Open Content Network > Search.

If the content is not imported, then the “import” checkbox will appear. 

If the “Automatic Import of Open Content Network Items” is enabled, all the content should be imported. 

Issue: The content from other OCN providers like Udemy or Linkedin-Learning does not update.

This is because the auto-import feature is not enabled.

turn on the: defaultValues.autoImportOCNCourseEnabled property to true.

Issue: When trying to change the value for defaultValues.autoImportOCNCourseEnabled to TRUE, the changes doesn’t save

This is because you are pasting the value in the wrong section.

Open Content Network Content Synchronization not configured but I still have the content updated

If the OCN synchronization is not defined, this could be because the provider is updating throuigh a Push API method.

The synchronization process using agile project management is a legacy method that is still applicable to some providers. We recommend that you use the OCN Course Push API method as the primary method for all third-party providers to push their course metadata to the customer environment.

1. In SAP SuccessFactors Learning Administration go to System Administration > Automatic Processes > Open Content Network Content Synchronization.
2. Set the standard scheduling fields to decide how often you want your process to run.

The content is imported but not visible to students

If the content is imported but not assigned to a library, then it will not be visible.
