Career site error: ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID – Recruiting Marketing

When you access the career site, the following error appears: ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID.

Why is this?

This error happens when you have a self-signed certificate, or you don’t have a root certificate authority.

Resolution

Browsers do not trust self-signed SSL certificates because they are created by the customer’s servers and lack validation from trusted Certificate Authorities (CAs).  Although self-signed certificates are free, they are appropriate only for internal network websites and development/testing environments, not for public-facing sites. Customers should purchase SSL certificates exclusively from trusted, public CAs. As a consequence, these certificates cannot be installed.
